Rabbit box/trap

I made a rabbit box or trap so time last week. The thing is I made the trap out of wood or lumber I had around the house. Should I have made the trap out of something else.. And the wood was kinda new but not that new.. Thanks for the info or tips..

I have seen them made out of hollow logs,but I have always heard to make them out of old clap board or weathered wood.I think if you construct it out of new wood its best to let it sit out in the weather for a while.good luck!
